Liver Disease in Dogs - Causes and Symptoms

When my own dog was diagnosed with [the state of the liver] situation, I know that the whole situation could be handled a lot better had I taken the time to educate yourself and take the necessary steps early to help him in his full recovery. • Dental cavities and other dental diseases of various
• Genetics, common in West Highland terriers and cocker spaniels
• inbreeding among dogs
• drugs, even medications prescribed by a vegetarian can cause liver disease when used for an extended period of time
Some things you might notice that if your dog has liver disease are:
• yellowing gums, skin and eyes
• Prolonged vomiting
• severe diarrhea
• Orange urine and frequent urination
• Changes in behavior, pacing and severe depression are common
• swelling of the stomach
When your dog helps recovery from liver disease Proper nutrition is very important. You should try and keep chocolate and other sugars from your diet dog while in recovery, and try to turn off the bones from their diet as well. The water given to your dog should be distilled to prevent any other infections. You should always consult a professional when you diagnose your dog, if you notice some of the symptoms above, contact your veterinarian immediately
