I was too when I was presented with the privilege to speak with Lori Ensign, founder of Safari's Interactive Animal Sanctuary near Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Born out of her great love for animals and treating them right, Lori became a savior of animals. For anyone familiar with the popular kids' show "Go Diego Go!", she is a real-life version of this story.
such as tarantulas, they are very fascinating and very large spiders!
for a pet? Well they are not a lot to handle, if you do not know how, but do not require much space, and can be quite fascinating to watch.
Do not be fooled when the tarantula starts shed there skin! Suddenly your spider 1 becomes 2-or you think! This is when most people get bit! Since tarantulas are poisonous? Yes they can bite, and they are poisonous, but their bite is typically more like a bee or wasp sting.
Or Lori story started as a lynx, she chose as her favorite choice. As the animal grew, she realized that this was not your typical pet. Being in the situation, she found others who also thought of exotic animals can be fun, but as time continues, I found it a bit more than they bargained for. Safari's is a safe haven for all kinds of wildlife, from big cats, wolves, bears, primates, hoof stock, birds, reptiles in. They are currently housing over 200 animals. They come from private individuals who could not keep exotic animals, sometimes.
from zoos to simply quit, and some are retired show animals.
Safari and only takes a big heart volunteers. Safari's visit includes a tour of the volunteers who discovered animal stories. Then, visitors are welcome to securely communicate with animals.
For example, there are exotic cat feeding station where you can feed a variety of exotic cats with their guide. Cats from around the world, including tigers, lions, puma, leopard, and Liger (1 / 2 lion-1 / 2 tiger). Treats are $ 1.00 each. Visitors have the opportunity to feed the bears, kangaroo, or even a raccoon.
There is also a Summer Splash. Tigers love the water! In summer, you can spray down the tigers. Watch them play with water. It's a lot of fun and free!
There is a Children's Barnyard area where you can pet and feed a variety of domestic animals from around the world, including goats, sheep, llamas, and horses.
For those who really want to feel the adventure, there is a cabin on the basis of which can be rented. Hear the wolves howl at night. This is a real safari is located right in the middle of the United States!
There is also a Kids Camp, which allows children to safely help the zookeepers feed the animals.
Afterwards learn about animals on the specialty, which could be barnyard animals, primates and raccoons, reptiles, wolves or big cats.
Travel is a great way to expand your horizons. After an interactive zoo makes a trip more memorable and fun. The fact remains, your children will be so excited to spend their time with you, you'll want to ensure that you make time to "play" there
.Enjoy the journey!
