Avoiding Fights In the Multi Dog Household
14.01 // 0 komentar // the writer // Category: avoiding fights multi household , dog training //Dogs are basically pack-oriented animals. They need a leader of the pack and place within the social hierarchy of the pack, how to live together in peace. When the owner unknowingly disturbs the natural order of hierarchy, fighting can occur.
First, it is important that the owner is thoroughly familiar with the body language of dogs and to help him understand the signals that indicate the dominance of the animals. It must first recognize the signals that the dominant dog will give you. dominant dog will choose the most favored place to sleep. dominant dog will push its way out the door in the first place. dominant dog will urinate in places where other dogs have been eliminated and that the "mark" their territory often. dominant dog (male or female, neutered or un-neutered) will also often "hump" other dogs.
Second owner must also understand the body language of submission. submissive dog will roll belly up before the more dominant dog. He will lick your lips a dominant dog. He claims to be pushed out of the way. In the case of a group feeding (which should never be the norm in the average household), it will not be allowed to feed the more dominant dog is fed.
dominance should not be confused with outright rudeness. Often a puppy who had been separated from their mothers too young to be rude to other dogs in the household. This is rude and should not be tolerated. Chin puppy who licks the other dog is naturally dominant dog, so if he does not have such things as push other dogs out of the way to go out and steal toys from other dogs' mouths, and pushed his way to the water bowl, and then be rude and admonished by the owner to find proper ways to others.
When you live in a household with multiple dogs, the most important factor to avoid the fighting among the dogs for owners to keep in the forefront for two reasons.
First, the owner must be dominant. He must be an exit door in the first place. He must be one to eat first. He must be the one to sleep in the desired location. He must command the respect of all dogs of the household members. He must be obeyed.
Second, the owner must abide by the dominance of the most dominant dog. Most of the fighting in more domestic dog arise because of the desire on the part of a dog to take command position. It is important that the owner does not give mixed signals, because the dog may be trying to download May take the opportunity to take over domination by force, if he thinks there is any question. Therefore, the owner should set food pan down first in front of the most dominant dog. It should allow the dominant dog to go out the door in the first place. He should not allow the dog to take his place in bed, although it is perfectly fine if you want a dog to get into bed with him ...
Unfortunately, it can still be time, for any reason, that fights do not occur in the household. If this happens, it is imperative that the owner is not physically put any part of his body to try to stop the fight. Neither should he pull on a dog's tail to try to be stretched, or in any other way to try to physically separate dogs with his own body. If a pure voice control does not work and the command to stop is not effective, there is a recourse that is probably safe. This recourse is to object, like a round bowl or bucket and put it over the dogs head that appears to be the attacker. "Scoop" dog's head in the bowl and back it up. Usually he will let go, because he can not see them any more. In the absence of a bucket or bowl, try fabric as jacket or small blanket covering the dog's eyes so that he can not see. As soon as we go forward it back up to the nearest room near the door and shut the door behind him in.
After the fight, always check carefully all the participants. Puncture wounds should be treated by cleansing with hydrogen peroxide and triple antibiotic. Vet visits are often required and it is very important to continue checking for a few days to make sure that the infection does not develop.
